Full description

Built at the turn of the century by Commodore Bourne, president of a major sewing machine company, Singer Castle was originally constructed as a private hunting lodge on Dark Island. It remained in his family for half a century before being sold in the 1960s and used as a religious retreat. In 2005 the castle was purchased by a group of investors and opened to the public, finally revealing a landmark long shrouded in mystery and, as local rumour has it, haunting.
